Accounts Payable Lead

Our Client, a national consulting firm, is currently experiencing explosive growth and looking to add an Accounts Payable Lead to their team.

In this role, along with the Accounts Payable Manager, you will be responsible for full-cycle Accounts Payable in a high-volume environment while supervising a small team. You will help provide expertise and the processing, recording and reporting of accounts payable transactions. You will be working with both external vendors and internal customers providing excellent customer service. You will verify and research vendor statements and assist with month-end closing and invoice accruals.

Additional responsibilities include:

· Full-cycle Accounts Payable in a high volume environment

· Verify and research vendor statements and handle all assigned vendor correspondence

· Assist in month-end closing and month-end invoice accruals

· Verify receipt of materials and services, code invoices with the proper general ledger accounts and enter for payment

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree or similar field preferred

· Minimum 2 years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume accounting department

· Prior supervisory experience a plus

· Advanced Excel experience required

· Self-starter with strong initiative and drive

· Strong analytical and problem solving abilities

· Excellent written communication skills

· Must be results driven with the ability to multi-task and use good judgment to handle multiple projects with conflicting deadlines and priorities

· Strong verbal and interpersonal skills

· Ad hoc reports as requested
