Business Development Manager – Provider Group
Location: Chicago Metropolitan Area
Position Overview
Reporting to the Director of Business Development, Physician Liaison is primarily focused on driving outpatient and ambulatory referral growth through field-based activities, building and maintaining strong relationships with key providers in the Chicagoland community. The role requires a blend of strategic planning, relationship management, and effective communication with physicians and APPs to ensure consistent growth and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities

Build Referral Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with external providers to support growth objectives for ancillary services.

Drive Patient Volume: Execute a focused sales strategy to grow patient referrals by analyzing market trends and engaging strategically with physician practices.

Conduct Site Visits: Visit physician offices to present service offerings, communicate value propositions, and promote ongoing engagement with our ancillary care teams.

Deliver Exceptional Service: Serve as a trusted point of contact for providers, ensuring their needs are met and issues are resolved efficiently to maintain high satisfaction.

Leverage Data: Use referral data, market share insights, and patient utilization trends to inform territory planning and outreach strategies.

Meet Performance Goals: Achieve weekly outreach targets and relationship development metrics, focusing on building custom engagement plans for each provider.

Support Growth Initiatives: Develop annual growth plans aligned with market trends and partner performance.

Ensure Compliance: Conduct all activities in accordance with company policies and applicable state/federal regulations.
Qualifications
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Experience
-
Minimum of 3 years of field sales, business development, provider relations, or integrated marketing—preferably in a healthcare environment.

In-depth understanding of healthcare referral processes and physician practice operations.

Proven ability to work independently in a field-based role and collaboratively with internal teams.

Proficient in using CRM tools to document outreach and track performance metrics.
