This position is with an industry leading medical aesthetics group that is partnering with and acquiring best-in-class clinics and brands across the USA. The group provides world-class support to their partner-clinics.
Geography:
This group is a national organization with locations across the country. They have a dispersed workforce and this role can be located anywhere.
New geographic expansion is subject to deal pipeline and de novo growth initiatives.
About the Role:
This group is in need of a COO to drive their operations at the holding level and provide world class support to its partner businesses. The COO is responsible for the overall operations and performance of their current partner brands and will additionally be responsible for de novo build outs and integrating new brands under the umbrella – operational due diligence, Day 1 Planning, Day 1 execution, and post close integration activities. This is a lean corporate team that cares a lot about its culture. The ideal candidate will have superb references that speak to their kindness and honesty as well as high horsepower (work ethic and intelligence).
Position Responsibilities:
- Drives financial and operational excellence and leadership through setting of vision, building and leading the team, and delivering on the budgeted and strategic plan
- Accountable for location financial performance and targets/KPIs as set forth by the leadership team
- Accountable for successful de novo planning and execution across the platform of brands; partner with founders to ensure new locations are on delivered on budget and cash flow positive within the desired time frame
- Partners with CEO to complete pre deal due diligence, pre close planning, Day 1 communications, and post close integration
- Continually improves operations by executing on strategies for growth and optimal performance and operating margin. Partners with corporate team members to build a scalable organization across shared service functions: HR, IT, Finance, Legal, and Real Estate
- Leverages available data and metrics to assist the operations and brand partners to drive best performance and client outcomes
- Builds and maintains relationships with key vendors across the portfolio
- Builds and maintains trusting relationships with the clinical and operational teams in alignment with organization mission, purpose and vision
- Effectively communicates the vision, strategy and priorities across the group to ensure all relevant stakeholders are informed
- Directs and manages group/market marketing, business development and promotion activities
- Facilitates the collation of operational information and metrics to help support the analysis and execution of excellent operational performance.
- Analyzes long term trends and develops recommendations for improvement.
- Leads and innovates with progressive ideas and will consider the best interests of patients and providers when evaluating decisions and implementing new approaches
Experience / Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree is Required; MBA an advantage
- 7+ years’ experience in various aspects of P&L leadership within a multi-site operation
- Proven experience successfully leading enterprise cross functional projects; consulting experience an advantage
- Proven experience within healthcare operations and leadership
- Ability to understand, direct and communicate complex data analysis and reporting
- Ability to manage relationships across the corporate function, onsite administrative support, and clinicians
- Strong leadership skills and experience in liaising, influencing, and negotiating with staff across job families at all levels of the organization
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving capability
- Superb stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and oral and ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships
- Demonstrate ability to influence and engage others to work collaboratively across the organization to change and accept new ideas
- Strong financial skills and commercial acumen
- Ability to travel across portfolio
- Comfort with dealing with ambiguity, uncertainty, complexity and time pressures
- Ability to use key software and analytic tools to support decision-making
