Finance Director, Value Based Care
This position is with one of the largest multi-specialty physician groups in the country. It is Chicagoland based and also one of the fastest growing networks in the US. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and the development of business insights to drive process and productivity improvements for the VBC segment.
Candidates will have the opportunity to work in hybrid environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development, analysis, and forecasting of budgets across departments and other business areas, ensuring alignment with the company’s business planning processes.
- Communicate financial reports within the company, ensuring clear distribution and explanation of departmental financial performance.
- Translate financial data into actionable key performance metrics to help management make informed decisions about current and future business strategies, including investment choices.
- Lead the creation of the company’s five-year strategic plan and manage the budgeting process to support the achievement of this plan.
- Provide daily financial advice, guidance, and exceptional service to management and employees in decision-making roles.
- Evaluate financial data and offer strategic advice on mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Assist in transitioning financial systems and reporting post-merger or acquisition.
- Analyze financial statements and recommend actions to improve profitability, while identifying and addressing any financial risks that could threaten business sustainability.
- Ensure accurate incentive compensation calculations in collaboration with other departments.
- Prepare internal reports as well as materials for the Board of Directors.
- Perform additional duties and tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business (MBA preferred).
- CPA or CFA certification (preferred).
- At least 5 years of senior-level financial experience, ideally in the healthcare industry.
- Experience with the process of completing an initial public offering (IPO) preferred.
- Expertise in mergers and acquisitions.
- Proven ability to scale financial processes and establish long-lasting structures.
- Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail, and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines, and work independently to effectively manage time and responsibilities.
- In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, corporate finance theory, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), SEC reporting, acquisition valuation methodologies, and accounting for acquisitions and divestitures.
