The Director of Finance – New Business Integration
This position sits within a highly acquisitive, PE backed healthcare organization.

The Director of Finance – New Business Integration plays a pivotal leadership role in evaluating the financial performance of newly acquired businesses throughout their post-acquisition integration period. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis, this individual will work closely with operations teams, Doctors, and executive leadership to deliver financial insights, foster alignment, and ensure a seamless transition into standard financial practices and performance targets. This position demands both strong analytical capabilities and exceptional interpersonal skills to influence, collaborate with, and guide a wide range of stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Act as the lead finance partner for newly acquired businesses, managing the financial integration from deal close through stabilization and eventual transition to steady-state FP&A support.
• Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Doctors, regional operations leadership, and executive teams.
• Implement and maintain consistent financial reporting processes, including monthly reviews, variance analyses, and KPIs tailored to the specific needs of each acquisition.
• Collaborate with operations and clinical teams to understand revenue drivers, cost structures, and profitability levers, translating these insights into clear financial guidance.
• Create and manage integration budgets, forecasts, and key financial milestones.
• Support post-acquisition planning efforts to identify and capture synergies and operational efficiencies.
• Foster a culture of financial discipline and accountability during the initial year of ownership, while remaining flexible to the unique needs of each acquisition.
• Communicate financial concepts effectively across both financial and non-financial audiences, from clinicians to senior executives.
• Prepare and present integration updates and financial reports to internal leadership and board-level stakeholders as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:

• Proven ability to work consultatively with physicians, clinicians, and senior executives, offering strategic, solutions-focused advice.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong executive presence; adept at delivering financial and strategic recommendations to varied audiences.
• Highly analytical with a proactive, hands-on approach and the agility to navigate uncertain or evolving situations.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial systems such as Intacct, Workday Adaptive, and Power BI.
• Experience supporting financial operations across a multi-location or multi-unit organization.
• Professional, innovative, and highly collaborative approach.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA designation strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in FP&A, operational finance, or post-merger business integration, preferably within healthcare, multi-site operations, or private equity-backed companies.
