I am working with a global organization that is seeking a Global Director of Recruitment that can function in a growing fast paced global organization. This person will manage an internal and external team. The vast majority of the organization works remotely and they do have contract employees globally.
Job Overview:
The Global Recruiting Director will lead and drive the overall talent acquisition strategy across all regions to meet the company’s global workforce needs. This role involves developing and implementing best-in-class recruiting strategies to attract top talent, build strong employer branding, ensure diversity and inclusion in hiring, and manage a global recruiting team. The Global Recruiting Director will work closely with senior leadership to align recruitment objectives with organizational goals, optimize recruitment processes, and build a sustainable talent pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement a global recruitment strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives, talent needs, and diversity goals.
- Lead workforce planning in collaboration with department heads to forecast future hiring needs across various regions.
- Drive innovation in recruiting practices by leveraging technology, social media, and data analytics to improve candidate sourcing, engagement, and hiring processes.
Team Leadership and Development
- Manage and lead a global recruiting team, ensuring adequate staffing in key markets.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability across the recruiting function.
Talent Acquisition
- Build a global talent pipeline through proactive sourcing strategies, including partnerships with universities, talent networks, and professional organizations.
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes to ensure consistency, efficiency, and a positive candidate experience.
- Lead recruitment campaigns and job fairs, ensuring a strong employer brand presence.
- Ensure that recruiting supports diversity, equity, and inclusion objectives, striving for balanced representation in hiring practices.
Employer Branding
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to strengthen the company’s employer brand and positioning in the global talent market.
- Develop and implement employer branding initiatives to attract top talent and promote the organization’s culture and employee value proposition.
Metrics & Performance
- Establish key recruitment metrics such as time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, candidate quality, and diversity outcomes.
- Provide regular reporting and analysis to senior management on recruitment performance, challenges, and opportunities.
- Optimize recruitment technologies and platforms for efficient data tracking, reporting, and compliance with global hiring regulations.
Compliance & Best Practices
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and recruitment regulations in all regions.
- Stay updated on global recruitment trends and best practices, adapting strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., SHRM, HRCI) is preferred.
Experience
- 7-10+ years of experience in recruitment/talent acquisition, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing global teams.
- Proven experience designing and executing large-scale recruitment strategies in a multinational organization.
- Expertise in global labor markets, recruitment technologies, and employer branding strategies.
Skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities with a proven track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics to drive recruitment performance.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the capacity to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- In-depth knowledge of diversity and inclusion best practices in hiring.
- Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS, and other recruitment technologies.
