Director of Information Technology
I am working with a multi-site / multi-state industrial services and construction company that is currently looking for a tactical yet strategic hands-on IT leader to help them through their growth process. This person will assist in hiring and building out an IT team, work with vendors, and consultants as they expand.
Position Summary:
The Director will be responsible for developing and executing the IT strategy to support the company’s growth objectives. This role requires a strategic leader with hands-on experience in implementing and managing enterprise systems, including SalesForce CRM, HRIS software, and a light ERP system. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading IT initiatives within a rapidly growing organization, preferably in a private equity-backed environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
- Provide visionary and strategic leadership to the IT department, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Build and lead a high-performing IT team, including hiring, training, and mentoring staff.
- System Implementation & Integration:
- Oversee the selection, implementation, and integration of SalesForce CRM, HRIS software, and a new ERP system.
- Ensure seamless integration of acquired companies’ IT systems and processes into the [Company Name] IT infrastructure.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure the best value for the company.
- IT Operations & Infrastructure:
- Establish and maintain robust IT infrastructure to support business operations and future growth.
- Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure data security, system reliability, and compliance.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including helpdesk support, network management, and cybersecurity.
- Project Management:
- Lead IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver technology solutions that drive efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
- Data Management & Analytics:
- Develop and implement data management strategies to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and accessibility.
- Leverage data analytics to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions and performance improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a senior IT leader,in a growing organization.
- Strong background in implementing and managing enterprise systems, including SalesForce CRM, HRIS software, and ERP systems.
- Experience in leading IT initiatives in a private equity-backed environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and lead a high-performing team.
- Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering IT projects on time and within budget.
- In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, data management, and compliance standards.
- Ability to think strategically while being hands-on to address immediate IT needs.
