Director of Integration
This position is with a large, private equity backed group that sells engineered products and services to the food/beverage and pharma industries. This is a highly acquisitive group that is growing exponentially. The Director of Integration provides strategic leadership and direction to the organization at a national level. The role requires a high degree of independence, initiative, judgment, and follow-through on a wide range of sensitive and complex issues.
Strategic Operations:
- Identifies best practices, helps streamline operational tasks based on best practices with a heavy emphasis on post-acquisition integration
- Monitors due diligence utilizing project dashboards to capture progress of various workstreams
- Builds and executes on detailed integration plans including timelines, milestones, budget, resource plan, and success metrics
- Establishes strong working relationships between all internal leadership and support teams
- Maintains a process of consistent accountability by providing effective leadership and direction throughout the company
- Creates actionable operational plans and processes
- Supervises and aids management staff as applicable
- Maintains working knowledge of industry trends, legislation and standards
- Works in conjunction with executive team to understand productivity and profitability trends; identifies downward trends and creates actionable plans to course correct downward trends
- Responsible for ensuring the consistent and appropriate interpretation, evaluation and communication of quarterly productivity
- Promotes and develops effective and efficient communication strategies in order to promote a positive work environment and an optimal operational workflow.
- Responsible for early recognition of staffing, capital expense, and infrastructure needs throughout the IMO and related functions
- Works to help on-board new practices by building, creating and implementing standard processes around the Integration Playbook
Preferred Qualifications (Experience, credentials, education)
- Bachelor’s Degree is Required; MBA preferred
- A minimum of 7 years of related business experience with a strong preference of consulting experience
- Proven ability to identify potential for valuable long-term relationships.
- Successful ability to work with teams across the business to maximize the impact of the overall business effort
- Proven and successful experience in integration, merger and/or divestiture work
