A private equity-backed, rapidly growing platform in the hospitality and lodging sector is seeking a Director of M&A Sourcing to lead origination and engagement efforts with potential acquisition targets. As a key member of the corporate development function, this individual will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with business owners, advisors, and intermediaries to expand the company’s acquisition pipeline across strategic U.S. markets.
This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on outreach, relationship-building, and uncovering off-market or under-the-radar opportunities. You’ll work closely with the internal M&A team and executive leadership to shape where and how the platform grows.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and grow a strong pipeline of qualified acquisition targets across prioritized industries and geographic regions.

Execute outbound outreach strategies across multiple channels, including phone, email, LinkedIn, conferences, and in-person networking.

Evaluate and qualify opportunities based on strategic fit, financial health, ownership mindset, and market potential.

Establish meaningful relationships with business owners, guiding them through the early stages of a potential transaction.

Maintain an organized and up-to-date CRM system to track outreach activity, relationship history, and deal progression.

Collaborate closely with the M&A team to transition engaged leads into active discussions and due diligence.

Stay current on industry developments, market trends, and competitive dynamics to inform targeting strategies.

Represent the company with professionalism and integrity in all external communications and meetings.
What We’re Looking For

5–10+ years of experience in business development, sales, investment sourcing, or entrepreneurial roles; experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity, or franchise development is a strong plus.

Commercially minded with a passion for relationship-building and a talent for identifying value.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with business owners and senior executives.

Persistent, highly organized, and metrics-driven—able to manage large volumes of outreach with a personalized approach.

Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, remote-first environment with shifting priorities.

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced education a plus but not mandatory.
