Position Overview:
HireNexus is collaborating with a private equity-backed distribution company specializing in specialty chemicals, adhesives, sealants, etc. to recruit a Director of Operations. This pivotal role will focus on optimizing distribution processes, enhancing supply chain efficiency, and driving operational improvements to support organizational growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in distribution, supply chain management, S&OP implementation, and performance measurement through KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Efficiency: Lead initiatives to enhance productivity, streamline processes, and improve overall operational performance.
- Supply Chain Management: Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including effective distribution and inventory management.
- S&OP Execution: Manage and refine the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to align supply with customer demand and business objectives.
- Performance Monitoring: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress and drive continuous improvement.
- Process Improvement: Identify and execute cost-reduction strategies while optimizing operational workflows.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of operations professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
- Strategic Support: Partner with senior leadership to ensure operational strategies align with overarching company goals and objectives.
Qualifications
- Industry Experience: Proven success in a senior operations role within the distribution industry, preferably with experience in chemicals or paints.
- Supply Chain Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of logistics, inventory management, and vendor relations.
- S&OP Experience: Demonstrated ability to implement and manage Sales and Operations Planning processes effectively.
- KPI Management: Expertise in developing, analyzing, and leveraging KPIs to drive operational success.
- Leadership Skills: Strong team management and leadership abilities, with a focus on fostering professional growth and collaboration.
- Analytical Ability: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a data-driven approach.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
