Program Director, Operational Initiatives
Job Summary:
This position is with a large, national, extremely fast growing specialty physician group. Reporting to Chief Clinical Ops Officer, the Director of Operational Initiatives is responsible for overall delivery and realization of projects and programs within Clinical Operations. You will deliver strategic initiatives to scope, prioritize, and coordinate execution of critical clinical and operating projects and programs while working with departments such as Practice Operations, Technology, Data & Analytics, among others.
Geography – Candidates will ideally be in Washington DC or the greater northeast with willingness to travel to DC frequently. The company is remote but the CCO is located in DC.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee strategic projects and program plans, ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals and priorities.
• Coordinate and synchronize activities across operational units and leadership teams to achieve organization-wide objectives.
• Implement program management processes that support portfolio management strategies.
• Adjust meeting schedules with key stakeholders, business leaders, and executives to ensure alignment with operational goals.
• Develop and refine engagement models to improve execution efficiency and collaboration.
• Promote and facilitate the sharing and adoption of best practices across operational units.
• Create standardized materials that support the practice management system and enhance operational consistency.
• Conduct detailed analyses and provide executives with data-driven insights and strategic recommendations.
• Identify, escalate, and address performance issues or challenges in initiative design and implementation.
• Ensure that projects meet milestones, deadlines, and key deliverables throughout their lifecycle.
• Lead project management efforts for critical initiatives, driving them to successful completion.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support organizational success.Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare management or consulting (preferred).
• Proven ability to manage and coordinate operations for practice management in a healthcare setting (preferred).
• Strong ability to translate information into clear problem statements, supported by data and insights.
• Demonstrated experience leading strategic projects and managing them to successful outcomes.
• In-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations related to healthcare management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn strategic vision into actionable operational plans.
• A results-oriented, solution-focused mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.IND123
