Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and driven Director of Sales and Marketing to lead our national sales strategy and manufacturing oversight. This executive-level role demands a unique blend of B2B sales leadership, manufacturing operations acumen, and data-informed decision-making. The successful candidate will bring a strategic mindset paired with hands-on leadership to grow revenue, improve efficiency, and align cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
- Develop and execute comprehensive B2B sales strategies targeting wholesale channels and key regional markets.
- Lead, coach, and develop a results-oriented sales team focused on meeting and exceeding KPIs.
- Drive revenue growth through strategic customer acquisition, channel expansion, and account retention.
- Oversee sales pipeline development, forecasting, and territory optimization.
- Leverage CRM tools for sales analytics, lead management, and reporting accuracy.
Manufacturing Operations
- Partner with production and supply chain teams to align manufacturing capacity with market demand.
- Champion continuous improvement in production processes and quality assurance for wheel and tire products.
- Monitor and optimize KPIs related to production efficiency, on-time delivery, and quality control.
Team & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Recruit, train, and evaluate both sales and production team members; manage performance reviews, promotions, and terminations.
- Promote collaboration across departments, including Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Logistics.
- Establish and monitor KPIs and performance benchmarks to drive team accountability and operational effectiveness.
Strategic Planning & Business Development
- Analyze market trends, customer data, and operational performance to inform growth strategies.
- Provide detailed updates to executive leadership on sales performance, production metrics, and margin analysis.
- Spearhead regional market expansion and local market penetration to enhance brand recognition and revenue generation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in B2B sales, manufacturing operations, or the automotive aftermarket sector.
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing multi-functional teams across sales and/or production.
- Proven expertise with CRM platforms, sales enablement tools, and performance analytics.
- Demonstrated track record of talent acquisition, coaching, and performance management.
- Strong grasp of revenue forecasting, sales KPIs, and operational excellence principles.
- Tech-savvy, with experience adopting and scaling digital sales and operations platforms.
- Willingness to travel
Preferred Experience
- Deep knowledge of the automotive aftermarket, particularly in wheel and tire distribution.
- Familiarity with forged or custom wheel manufacturing processes.
- Experience launching new product lines or entering new geographic markets.
