Human Resources Manager
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading and directing the routine functions of the Human Resources department including attracting and retaining the best talent in the industry, enforcing The Company’s culture by creating and maintaining a positive relationship between employees, and training and development.
Job Responsibilities
- Primary Responsibilities of this position include:
- Managing the recruitment and selection process as well as initiatives to improve retention
- Employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues
- Training and development
- Designing and implementing a recruiting process that fits the organizations hiring strategy, as well as maintaining the work structure by updating organizational charts and job descriptions and compensation analysis for all positions.
- Develop strategies to keep talent and reduce turnover by fostering a positive work environment.
- Resolve employee-relations issues and participate in decisions relative to corrective action, performance concerns, employee separation, and conflict resolution.
- Communicate and administer HR Policies, procedures, and strategies that balance the needs of the business unit with employee needs.
- Oversee overall company and HR related training programs and support employee development.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Assist with the coordination of leave management including FMLA, Work Comp, STD, and other types of leave.
- Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations such as unemployment, EEOC and workers’ compensation
Desired Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in related field and 5-7 years of Human Resources experience.
- Previous managerial experience preferred.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Programs, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook.
- Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written as well as presentation skills.
- Must have knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record for occasional travel.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
