Industrial Engineer
We are in search of a dedicated and detail-oriented Industrial Engineer who will play a pivotal role in evaluating our current operations and establishing more efficient and systematic production processes. The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for analyzing operations, designing workflows and production processes, reducing inefficiencies, and ensuring that final products meet established quality standards.
The ideal candidate should have a proven background in developing efficient systems that integrate workers, machines, materials, and information hardware for the manufacture of complex products. Candidates must hold a BSIE, MSIE, or an equivalent engineering discipline, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
Objectives of this Role:
- Analyze and evaluate existing systems and processes, identifying value-added and non-value-added activities to solve design challenges.
- Conceive, design, test, and develop innovative solutions based on analysis and organizational objectives.
- Evaluate new and existing processes, equipment, and materials for input into scheduling methods, performance metrics, and financial standards.
- Uphold the company’s reputation by delivering innovative solutions while complying with company, federal, and state regulations.
- Manage and conduct employee training for productivity improvement projects, and mentor fellow engineers and technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Review engineering specifications and develop management control systems.
- Determine optimal methods for conducting manufacturing services with maximum efficiency.
- Participate in research to identify qualified places for manufacturing components.
- Utilize principles of mathematics, science, and engineering to streamline processes and identify opportunities to prevent waste and inefficiency in production.
- Research and test design ideas, utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis to support innovation, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.
- Develop robust manufacturing concepts to simplify/improve processes.
- Institute quality control procedures and create and maintain manufacturing process documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain insight and direction for successful project completion.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (IE or ME), master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of related engineering/management experience.
- In-depth understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience with building prototypes and proficiency with analytical tools, workflow time study, and process balancing.
- Ability to interface effectively with program management, manufacturing leads, customers, and functional leads.
- Advanced experience using MS suite, including Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with the implementation and use of ERP systems.
- Strong project and event scheduling skills.
- Effective communication skills and experience working on multidisciplinary teams.
- Creative problem-solving skills and adept critical thinking skills for complex issues.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain insight and direction to successfully complete projects
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (IE or ME), master’s degree preferred
- 5+ years related engineering/management experience
- In-depth understanding of lean manufacturing principles
