Maintenance Manager
Position Summary
The Maintenance Manager provides leadership and direct supervision over maintenance personnel involved in the installation, maintenance and repair of machine tools and equipment, electrical systems, mechanical systems, heating/cooling systems, facilities, ground, and structure. This individual will play a key role in capital improvement and building improvement efforts providing guidance from planning through implementation and ongoing maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Experience with Central Impression Printing Press
- Provides maintenance staffing and support.
- Oversees general building maintenance repairs and services.
- Develops, implements, schedules, and completes a Preventative Maintenance Program for all equipment and machinery.
- Designs and implements maintenance strategies, procedures and methods and maintains a MRO inventory.
- Responsible for supervising, monitoring, and developing maintenance technicians.
- Determines schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates maintenance policies and procedures, including information and documentation records for all maintenance procedures.
- Provides support for production through identification and implementation of improvements concerning safety, efficiency, and quality.
- Compile time and cost estimates for equipment repair, as well as replacement recommendations.
- Creates and maintains relationships with all outside contractors or service providers and arranges for and monitors all work being performed.
- Provides guidance to management for equipment selection and capital projects.
- Tracks repair and maintenance expenses in addition to capital expenditure requirements for machines and equipment.
- Provides troubleshooting support for production.
- Oversees problem solving and troubleshooting on electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined.
Requirements
- Proven high level of industrial electrical and mechanical technical expertise is required.
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance supervisory or management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- High-level leadership and decision-making skills
- Able to motivate, influence, and train people
- Able to interact with all levels of Plant Management.
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
- Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment
- Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership.
- Ability to use knowledge of the working environment to meet established goals and objectives.
- Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
