Position Overview
The General Manager/President will lead this group into its next phase of growth. This role is responsible for setting the company’s strategic direction, managing the P&L, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Additionally, the role includes securing investment and funding opportunities to scale operations, expand market presence, and support company growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a long-term vision and strategy for growth, innovation, and market leadership.
- Identify emerging trends in influencer marketing and position the company as an industry leader.
- Align business goals, team priorities, and client needs to ensure consistent success.
P&L Management
- Take full ownership of the company’s profit and loss (P&L), driving profitability and sustainable growth.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for operational efficiency.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.
Fundraising and Capital Investment
- Develop strategies to secure funding through venture capital, private equity, or other investment opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with potential investors, presenting the company’s vision and financial performance.
- Optimize the use of capital to fuel growth, expand the influencer network, and enhance technology platforms.
- Invest in cutting-edge tools, talent, and partnerships that align with the company’s strategic goals.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and profitability.
- Refine processes to optimize campaign execution and deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination across departments.
Business Development & Client Management
- Drive revenue growth by securing partnerships with leading B2C brands targeting young adults.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Lead contract negotiations and oversee pricing strategies to align with market trends.
Influencer Network Expansion
- Expand and nurture the company’s network of influencers across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Develop programs to attract and retain top-tier influencers aligned with client goals.
- Leverage analytics to identify high-impact influencers and track campaign performance.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
- Cultivate a culture of creativity, innovation, and accountability.
- Champion diversity and inclusivity in influencer partnerships and hiring practices.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 10+ years in marketing, media, or related fields, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience in influencer marketing and B2C brand strategies targeting young adults.
- Demonstrated success in P&L management, driving profitability, and scaling operations.
- Proven track record in fundraising and securing capital investments.
- Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and leadership skills.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools and platforms.
- Experience managing growth-stage companies and capital allocation.
- Strong network within the influencer marketing ecosystem.
- Knowledge of SEO, online marketing, branding, product manufacturing, and private equity (PE).
