We’re thrilled to share a great opportunity to join a top roofing and contracting company in Baltimore, MD! They serve both commercial and residential clients and are on the lookout for an energetic Project Manager to join their team.
Summary
The Project Manager (PM) provides leadership for the construction team. The PM begins his work with a hand off from the estimating team. The PM is responsible for the timely completion, cost control and the health and safety compliance of their assigned projects. Additionally, the PM is responsible for ensuring that the projects are constructed in accordance with the contract terms, plans, specifications and local building codes required. The PM is involved in all aspects of projects assigned to them from contract through execution.
Minimum Qualifications/Skills
• Experience in the construction trade.
• Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in construction management.
• Expertise in construction site safety management.
• 30-hour OSHA certification.
• Formal training in PPE, Scaffolding, and Fall Protection.
• Strong knowledge of construction site practices, including safety and health regulations.
• Familiarity with applicable building codes and regulations.
• Ability to interpret and understand architectural and structural plans.
• Solid mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate percentages and square footage, and apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
• Strong interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with customers, vendors, and employees across all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Introduce yourself to the client and set clear schedule expectations.
• Manage field crew and subcontractor schedules to ensure projects are completed on time.
• Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Perform Project Manager duties at multiple job sites simultaneously, ensuring smooth operations.
• Collaborate with senior management to ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures, while contributing to profitability and productivity goals.
• Assist in planning and implementing safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain safety records and files to ensure proper documentation.
Preferred Experience
• 5+ years of project management experience.
