Position Title: Regional Chief Quality Officer (RCQO)
Location: Pacific Northwest (PNW) – Washington State (Seattle market)
Compensation: $250,000–$375,000 + relocation assistance

Overview:
We are partnering with a premier healthcare system in the Pacific Northwest to identify a strategic and dynamic Regional Chief Quality Officer (RCQO) to lead quality initiatives across a complex, multi-site health system. This executive role spans a portfolio of 10+ hospitals and multiple clinics throughout the region and plays a critical role in driving high-reliability care, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.

The RCQO will report directly to the Chief Medical Officer of the PNW Division and serve as the senior clinical quality leader, guiding the implementation of system-wide quality and performance improvement strategies. This individual will act as a connector between clinical and operational leaders across all sites, translating vision into actionable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic clinical leadership to advance the division’s quality and safety initiatives.

• Lead the execution and oversight of the System Quality Strategic Plan.

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and regulatory standards, including The Joint Commission (TJC).

• Drive performance improvement initiatives leveraging Lean/Six Sigma or equivalent methodologies.

• Serve as a subject matter expert in clinical quality, risk management, and regulatory readiness.

• Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and implement system-wide quality goals and KPIs.

• Monitor and report quality metrics, ensuring accountability and transparency across all sites.

• Cultivate a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement throughout the region.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Business Administration, Medical Management, or related field required.

• Must currently reside in Washington State.

• 10+ years of senior leadership experience in quality management within a large, integrated healthcare system.

• 5+ years of experience in a multi-site environment with increasing levels of complexity.

• Expertise in regulatory standards including Joint Commission (TJC) and DNV.

• Demonstrated success in leading strategic quality improvement and clinical performance programs.

• Experience designing and executing system-level strategic plans.

• CPHQ, CPHRM, and/or Lean/Six Sigma (Greenbelt or higher) certifications preferred.

• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.

• Strong data analysis and project management abilities; experience with data-driven decision-making.

• Proven ability to serve as a change agent, aligning clinical strategy with operational execution.
