Senior Financial Analyst, Operational Finance
This position sits within a highly acquisitive multi-site healthcare organization with 450+ locations and presence in 20+ states.
As a Senior Financial Analyst within the Financial Planning & Analysis team, you will collaborate with various departments (e.g., operations, accounting, strategy) to drive business outcomes. Your role will involve conducting key analyses to gain a deeper understanding of our rapidly expanding business and help forecast future performance.
Candidates will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare and generate financial reports and key operating metrics to assess business performance.
- Develop and maintain financial models to analyze historical data and project future trends.
- Investigate budget vs. actual variances on a monthly basis, providing insights into financial performance.
- Provide regular and ad hoc analytical support to leadership, identifying key performance trends.
- Collaborate with internal teams on various financial and operational projects as needed.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced skills preferred, including Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, etc.).
- Strong financial modeling experience.
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools (Power BI or similar) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail, particularly in data validation and financial accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with teams across the organization.
- Strong communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
- Experience with Power Query is preferred.
- Background in compensation management is a plus.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, STEM, or Accounting.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a finance or analytics role (3 years preferred).
