We are partnering with a Private Equity backed, newly acquired utilities company looking to add a Sr. Manager/Director FPA to the team. Reporting to the CFO, primarily responsible for leading the Company’s FP&A capability (including weekly KPI development, monthly reporting, forecasting, and business analytics). Primary Responsibilities for FP&A Role:
- Develop and upkeep financial models for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
- Analyze current financial and operational performance against historical data and projections.
- Own and produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for various stakeholders (Executive team, board of directors, and lenders).
- Collaborate with senior management to review actual results, explaining variances and identifying key business drivers.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, including planning for capital expenditures.
- Utilize analytics to enhance decision-making across the organization.
- Cultivate strategic relationships with Sales & Marketing and Operations teams to ensure alignment on critical business drivers.
- Manage responsibilities related to mergers and acquisitions.
Additional M&A Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with CFO and CMO to conduct business analyses for potential acquisitions.
- Support third-party diligence processes for potential acquisitions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in finance and FP&A roles.
- Proficiency in constructing detailed financial models and forecasts.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including advanced Excel proficiency.
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and financial consolidation procedures.
- Eagerness to establish finance and business intelligence frameworks within a rapidly growing company.
- Experience in a private equity-backed environment, with capability in managing diverse external stakeholders, is highly desired.
- Previous exposure to technician or route-based services businesses is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying insights effectively to both operational teams and executives.
