Role & Responsibilities
The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for leading the sales team, driving strategic sales initiatives, optimizing processes, and implementing tools that maximize sales productivity. This individual will work closely with sales leadership, finance, operations and other cross-functional partners to provide the insights and structure needed for our sales organization to meet and exceed revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Planning: Partner with executive leadership to define sales strategies, establish goals, and support the development of quarterly and annual sales plans.
- Process Improvement: Analyze existing sales processes and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, implementing best practices to optimize efficiency and outcomes.
- Sales Enablement: Provide the sales team with essential tools, training, and resources, developing and executing programs to boost productivity and effectiveness.
- Sales Performance Management: Monitor sales metrics, forecasting, and reporting to ensure visibility into key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliver actionable insights to drive decision-making.
- Technology & CRM Management: Lead the adoption and optimization of sales technologies, including CRM systems, to enhance data-driven decisions and improve overall sales effectiveness.
- Strategic Growth Initiatives: Develop and execute strategic growth initiatives, such as National Accounts strategies, paid marketing campaigns (e.g., PPC advertising), and service maintenance plans.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with operations, finance, and other departments to align on shared objectives, manage the sales pipeline, and support overarching business goals.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field required.
- 10+ years of experience in sales operations, sales strategy, or a similar role, with a proven history of driving process enhancements and supporting sales growth.
- Industry experience in facility services or construction management; roofing industry experience strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage and develop teams.
- Expertise in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
