Vice President of Strategic Initiatives
This position is with a fast growing, highly acquisitive, private equity packed specialty physician group. It is responsible for the development and execution of strategic and operational initiatives. This position will support strategic vision and leadership for designing, developing, and implementing key business initiatives that create customer and/or business value. This leader should be comfortable working with the C-Suite and key senior leaders across the organization. It reports directly to the Chief Strategy Officer.
Geography:
The ideal candidate can be located anywhere. This is a national company. This person will need to travel and can be permanent remote.
Position Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with and lead internal stakeholders across departments, external vendors, and subject matter experts to create and execute complex project plans and schedules; ensure that all projects not only achieve on-time and on-budget metrics but meet the business goals and achieve the expected business outcomes upon completion.
• Cultivate an understanding of tools and tactics that best fit specific use-cases and spread awareness about how to use in-house digital tools to support best practices.
• Ensure quality of the work produced by cross-functional teams, and make sure deliverables are current and accessible.
• Manage budgets and schedules, ensuring accuracy and transparency for the team.
• Work with team members to understand their operational needs thoroughly, in context, emphasizing listening before solutioning.
• Flexibly employ training, documentation, and process changes as well as more traditional project management solutions such as use of a Gantt chart, status report, etc.
• Present status and updates to key leadership across the organization.
• Need to be a proficient user of Excel and PowerPoint tools, and be able to analyze.
• Support the implementation of comprehensive collaborative projects aligned with our mission, strategic objectives, and core values.
Experience / other:
MBA highly preferred
5 – 8 years’ experience in various aspects of consulting project execution.
Experience at a top tier consulting firm
Broad based functional experience with healthcare experience a significant plus
Corporate experience of successfully leading projects across many stakeholders
