We are partnering with a growing legal technology & services company that is seeking a dynamic VP of Talent and People. This role is ideal for a high-level HR generalist with a hands-on approach who can balance both strategic and tactical responsibilities. You will collaborate closely with the executive team to drive organizational growth and enhance employee engagement across the company. Experience in Talent Acquisition and hiring sales representatives, as well as technology personnel, is key to supporting the company’s continued expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive recruitment, retention, evaluation, and remediation efforts to secure and maintain top talent, with an emphasis on hiring sales professionals.
- Design and implement effective talent acquisition strategies encompassing sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top-tier candidates.
- Oversee new hire screening and onboarding processes to ensure seamless integration, particularly for sales and revenue-focused roles.
- Manage payroll operations, including processing bi-weekly payroll, maintaining the online payroll system, and generating management reports, metrics, and analyses.
- Oversee benefits administration (401K, profit sharing, health and dental insurance, life insurance) to ensure competitive offerings that attract and retain talent.
- Regularly assess and update personnel policies, procedures, and compensation plans to align with industry standards and best practices.
- Lead the compensation and performance review process, ensuring fairness and consistency across all teams.
- Ensure adherence to federal and state employment regulations.
- Oversee the management of workers’ compensation claims, unemployment claims, and auto accident reporting to reduce risk and maintain compliance.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the executive team, offering HR expertise to align with company objectives.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated success in Talent Acquisition, with a proven focus on recruiting sales professionals and key roles in expanding organizations.
- Hands-on leadership experience that blends operational HR management with strategic planning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience in payroll administration and system oversight.
- 10+ years of HR experience, preferably in a leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Multi-site HR management experience is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
