Description:
A leading, Chicago-based, healthcare organization is seeking a Vice President of Specialty Operations, Value-Based Care (VBC) to develop and execute innovative strategies that enhance specialty care within the value-based care framework. Reporting to the Chief Value-Based Care Officer, this role will work in close partnership with clinical and operational leaders to implement specialty-focused programs that improve patient outcomes, optimize performance metrics, and support operational excellence. The ideal candidate brings a unique blend of healthcare operations expertise, data-driven decision-making, and exceptional relationship management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive value-based care specialty strategy to align with organizational goals and improve care outcomes.
- Design, implement, and execute value-based care programs across key specialties, tailoring initiatives to specific clinical needs.
- Collaborate with specialists to identify opportunities for improvement and co-design solutions, including incentive models to drive engagement and results.
- Establish and monitor KPIs across key metrics, regularly reviewing performance to ensure targets are met and identifying areas for adjustment.
- Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities, using insights to refine interventions and develop actionable solutions.
- Effectively communicate program objectives and performance to operational and clinical stakeholders, fostering alignment and shared accountability.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare services, with a focus on value-based care or related fields.
- Direct experience working with healthcare providers, preferably in a specialty care environment.
- A strong background in consulting and operations, with a proven ability to design and execute new programs.
- Demonstrated expertise in data analysis and performance monitoring, with the ability to draw actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building collaborative relationships across clinical and operational teams.
- Adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field.
- Proven success in leading specialty-focused initiatives within a value-based care framework.
