About the Opportunity
A private equity-backed medical device organization is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to serve as Vice President of Strategic Integration & Program Leadership. This newly created executive position will play a pivotal role in driving the separation and integration of newly acquired product lines carved out through M&A. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in carve-outs, complex program management, and cross-functional leadership in high-growth or transformational environments.
Key Responsibilities
Separation & Integration Leadership

Design and lead comprehensive integration and separation strategies, including Day 1 readiness, TSA (Transition Services Agreement) exits, and full transition to standalone operations

Negotiate and govern TSAs, establish clear exit plans, and build internal capabilities to sustain operations post-TSA

Proactively identify risks, prioritize functional investments, and ensure business continuity across all phases of the carve-out

Serve as the point of coordination across all functions to ensure operational readiness and a smooth close
Transformation Program Management

Drive large-scale transformation initiatives in partnership with global, cross-functional stakeholders

Lead program governance, including steering committee facilitation and executive-level reporting

Align key workstreams across commercial, finance, supply chain, IT, HR, and other business functions to ensure progress toward transformation milestones
Stakeholder & Change Management

Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team, delivering insights and structured problem-solving

Influence and align internal and external stakeholders with clarity and confidence

Create compelling communication strategies and content to support change enablement and strategic storytelling
Operational Optimization

Oversee the transition to fully independent operations, ensuring stability, scalability, and sustainability post-close

Deliver cost synergy targets and support alignment with financial business cases and investment theses

Lead hiring efforts, capability development, and documentation of best practices to support repeatable integration success
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred

10+ years of progressive experience in project/program management, business transformation, or corporate development
-
Proven track record managing complex carve-outs, including TSA negotiation and execution
-
Expertise in separating and rebuilding core business functions, particularly in IT, supply chain, and shared services
-
Experience in PE-backed, high-growth, or transformation-intensive environments
-
Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and strategic execution capabilities
-
High emotional intelligence (EQ) with the ability to lead through ambiguity and influence without formal authority
