Job Description Job Title: Supply Chain Manager Status: Full Time Exempt Reports to: General Manager Summary: The Supply Chain Manager leads a team of associates to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient flow of material through the business. This position is responsible for the development and execution of logistics and warehousing operations including material planning, receiving, internal material movement, material storage, domestic and international shipping. This position will work with both internal and external business partners to reduce cost, streamline processes, and improve service.   • Active member of the company’s leadership team
  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable logistics and warehouse personnel to generate strong results for the business and build on their functional competencies
  • Manages activities related to purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, and logistics
  • Strategically plan, prepare and release orders to raw material suppliers according to production demands
  • Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors
  • Monitor, evaluate, and maintain relationships with key suppliers
  • Manage all levels of inventory - raw materials, work in process, and finished goods - to ensure availability for production and transactional integrity and accuracy
  • Establish and implement best practices related to the ERP systems and processes that support material transactions related to all aspects of supply chain management including planning, warehousing, and logistics
  • Participates in the coordination of new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material and production flow
  • Ensure regulatory requirements are met for all incoming/outgoing international shipments
  • Analyze external transportation costs for optimal use and cost savings
  • Ensure cost effective & efficient transportation between facilities and external suppliers
  • Partner with quality, production, and safety personnel to resolve issues with material warehousing and shipments
  • Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications Education, Skills, Experience and Knowledge Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in supply chain management is preferred Five to Ten years of experience in a manufacturing environment with strong background in material planning, inventory control, and logistics Automotive Industry experience preferred Leadership experience in managing and developing a strong accountable team Knowledge of INCO terms, international transportation documentation requirements Must be a strong problem solver and an effective communicator Excellent negotiation skills aimed at forging solid relationships with suppliers Microsoft Office proficient with emphasis on Excel is required Active working knowledge of ERP systems is required Requirements: ISO 14001 IATF CPIM- Preferred
