Clinical Oncology Pharmacist

This position is with a 400+ bed hospital located a little over an hour northeast of the city.

Currently this facility is in need of a Clinical Oncology Pharmacist to help lead a new Oncology clinic that was recently purchased by the system. The ideal candidate has a background with ambulatory care oncology and would be interested in assisting to build a clinical pharmacy practice from the ground up.


  • This is a brand-new role
  • This person will act as a specialist, working with physicians to create their own work environment while they develop the program.
  • There are 4 other clinical pharmacy specialists in the organization, but this role is independent in a clinical setting.
  • Shift is M-F either 8-4:30 or 8:30-5


  • Must be a licensed pharmacist
  • Looking for someone with a minimum of 1 year residency training but ideally would like a PGY2 in oncology with a background in the ambulatory care (or someone who would like to work in ambulatory care. Need someone who is strong wanting to build an outpatient clinical pharmacy practice from the ground up.
  • Would prefer a residency in oncology. This person will be seen as a peer to the physicians like an NP or PA.
