Finance Due Diligence Specialist, SVP

I am working with one of Boston's top Private Equity Firms that is seeking a Finance Due Diligence Specialist, SVP. This individual will play a key role in the portfolio operations team, which focuses on value creation, operational improvements, board and management effectiveness, and resource management. This individual will work with the portfolio operations team, deal teams and management teams within portfolio companies to support the platform organizations on due diligence, auditor selection, integration, and organizational effectiveness. The SVP will be able to facilitate strategic planning sessions and assist in annual business plan development of our portfolio companies. This individual will demonstrate a results-driven orientation, change management experience and persuasive ability. In this role, this individual must also be able to build consensus and draw on past experience to influence others.

Ideal Candidate:

Twenty years of combined management consulting, transaction advisory and operations experience, with significant exposure to strategic matters and with specific emphasis on the following:

  • Due Diligence - ability to take findings out of diligence and focus on an accounting focused improvement
  • Forensic Accounting
  • Audit – involvement in the auditor selection and management process
  • CPA
  • Experience in mid-market organization that are in the manufacturing, distribution, industrial services, healthcare, and/or technology would be a plus


  • An undergraduate technical degree with 3-5 years post undergrad experience at a top-tier consulting firm or at a top tier Fortune 500 company. (Bain, L.E.K. Accenture, Boston Consulting, ect.)
  • A generalist with experience across a variety of industry sectors including but not limited to Business Services, Industrial, Healthcare and Software.
  • Excellent technical skills and the ability to perform in-depth financial analysis to identify potential opportunities across the portfolio and within individual portfolio companies.
  • Superior project management and change management skills in order to execute effectively on opportunities.

Note, this position will have limited travel requirements.
