Strategic Program Manager, E-Commerce

The Strategic E-Commerce Program Manager is an individual who is excited about driving teams, solving problems and delivering excellent results in a startup-like environment inside an existing successful business.

We are working with a global leading supplier of team apparel, footwear, and costumes. In the U.S., the company has a B2B operation selling wholesale to leagues, who resell to the members of the teams. Our client has created a micro-site platform that gives their B2B customer the ability to set up an online boutique to sell their team apparel and gear to their teams in a snap. The B2B customer has full control over the retail sell price and profit without the hassle of holding inventory or physically collecting money from the parent, making our e-commerce offering an innovative B2C platform in a B2B environment.

They are looking for a driven and entrepreneurial individual to join us in transforming the customer journey in the global industry through the use of their e-commerce system. As the key leader for the Strategic E-Commerce Program Manager will lead teams to define and deliver large projects to successful outcomes. He/she will encompass all facets of project management, stakeholder management and digital marketing leadership. They will also collaborate with business leaders and participate in strategic planning activities such as program and product road mapping and financial planning to help grow the division. While this individual will report to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, he/she will need to excel in a cross-functional capacity, working with marketing, finance, fulfillment services, and customer services for day-to-day execution. The ability to develop breadth and depth of knowledge about all areas of the business will be crucial to success in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of the Strategic E-Commerce Program Manager include:

  • Responsible for collaborating with cross-functional partners to manage all aspects of the E-commerce business including, platform feature sets & UI/UX, IT development, business planning, financial reporting, warehouse operations, promotional campaigns and other marketing, and customer service
  • Lead the development and execution of strategic and tactical business plans to drive E-commerce adoption globally
  • Manage the full P&L, budgets, regulatory compliance, and any other financial/operational data for the business
  • Alongside the VP of North American Operations, optimize the logistical operations of both inbound and outbound
  • Leveraging the marketing team, generate and implement new sales and marketing initiatives to increase sales and profitability
  • Manage the user experience of the platform including site navigation, content development, checkout funnel and promotional campaigns
  • Provide project management leadership around internal and external personnel to drive all E-commerce projects/initiatives
  • Outstanding analytical skills, strong experience interpreting test results & drawing conclusions
  • Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS degree in marketing, operations or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant leadership experience within a mid-to-large size company (preferably e-commerce)
  • A combination of B2B and B2C experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience driving results by working cross-functionally
  • Strong digital marketing, project management and analytical skills
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing E-commerce preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Experience setting up and managing a budget and P&L
  • Should be able to develop effectual relationships and operate with senior executives
  • Effective leadership, time management and organizational skills
  • Should be able to contribute to planning and strategic thinking
  • Exceptional written as well as verbal communication skills. High level of personal enthusiasm and self-motivation
  • Travel as required
