General Manager

I am working with a global chemical manufacturing organization that is seeking an experienced General Manager with chemicals experience to run the US operations.

 

Job Description

 

In compliance with the Group policy, the General Manager will have the following main responsibilities:

 

  • Managing all the operations of the company, taking responsibility for profit, revenue, cash and quality targets with special focus on business development;
  • Coordinate and manage the company team, guaranteeing the cooperation within the HQs and all the global departments (Sales, R&D, Supply Chain, Production, Finance, QHSE);
  • Pursuing the agreed business targets in terms of sales and profit;
  • Lead the business expansion (with focus on textile chemicals), combining corporate strategy and local needs.
  • Implement a successful commercial strategy, managing existing clients and developing the business to fully exploit the potential of the company;
  • Identify critical areas and implement improvements;
  • Ensure an on time and correct elaboration of reports and budgets, alongside with deviation analysis.
  • Monitoring weekly cash flow and supervising money collection.
  • Oversee daily operations of the organization;
  • Looking to the future of the business and promoting potential key investments and investment recommendations;
  • Contributing in the definition of the strategic initiatives together with Board of Directors.
  • Recruit and develop staff to maximize potential by mentoring and training. 

The Successful Applicant

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry; MBA would be a strong plus.
  • 5 years experiences of key account management and big potential in leadership roles among specialty chemicals industry (textile chemicals auxiliaries is a must).
  • Sound understanding and established network among textile industry.
  • Good communication aptitude
  • Strong strategic skills and business acumen combined with the ability to motivate teams.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive, professional, internal and external work relationships with all stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and authority, acquired within management roles;
  • Excellent analytic abilities.
  • Target and result oriented.
  • Outstanding computer skills in Microsoft office tool

  • Establishing right and efficient workflow
  • Commute strategic decisions into tangible and miserable execution.
