Corporate Accountant


Location: Adrian, Michigan


Reports to: Corporate Accounting Manager


Position Description:


As a member of the Corporate Accounting Manager’s Team, the incumbent will compute, verify, and analyze numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records, as well as prepare financial reports for various levels of management. This position will also manage the global fixed asset process.




  • Lead, consolidate and compile the monthly and yearly corporate reports requirement for company management and ownership.
  • Responsible to create, maintain, review and audit various financial transactions in accordance with GAAP.
  • Reconcile assigned accounts
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end financial close process.
  • Lead and manage the global Capital Request and fixed asset process and maintain the fixed asset systems.
  • Assist with quarterly reforecast and annual planning
  • Assist in creation and administration of company policies & procedures to ensure adequate internal control and safeguarding of company assets.
  • Review, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and related reports.
  • Travel required; Up to 10% at certain times of the year.
  • Other accounting duties as assigned.
  • Actively supports and manages within the organizations mission, vision, Code of Conduct and Process Based Leadership guidelines.
  • Actively supports our 5S + Safety programs. 

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5 years of accounting experience within a corporate accounting role required
  • 2-3 years of experience analyzing, compiling and presenting financial data to upper management
  • 2-3 years of experience with a consolidation tool (OneStream, Hyperion, ect) required
  • Proficient with MS Office products
  • Experience with an ERP system required
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX (Axapta) a plus
  • Microsoft literate, especially Excel for financial analysis applications
  • Excellent analytic, written, people and communication skills

  • CPA designation a plus.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
