Manufacturing Manager

We are currently seeking a high-level Manufacturing Manager. The person in this role will lead all of our shop floor operations within our facility. This individual must have previous experience managing within the metal industry and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced changing environment while performing at a high level. This individual should be able to identify and implement process improvements that will allow the department and the company to grow to new levels.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Works with scheduling & materials department to prioritize and set production plan & staff
  • Identifies, implements, and drives improvements with metrics and KPI's
  • Creates and monitors skill matrix and development or training plans for employees and operators
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts for cost, quality, delivery, or inventory improvements
  • Conducts regular (e.g. monthly) 6S audits and practices
  • Provides training on work processes, IPQC, set-up and ensures processes are being followed
  • Monitors employee time to ensure they are performing to the requirements of the position
  • Resolve employee conflicts quickly; keep management abreast of any issues
  • Develop departmental budgets, resource planning, and capital expenditure plans with full ROI
  • Supports and trains on the values of our Culture
  • Regularly conducts performance reviews to ensure employees' concerns are being heard
  • Conducts interviews to ensure quality employees are being hired
  • Monitors daily productivity and performance to ensure goals are being met
  • Comply with the requirements of the Quality Management System and departmental procedures
  • Develops & strictly follows safety policies, procedures, rules and work methods as outlined in Safety Manual
  • Promptly corrects or reports safety hazards or unsafe work conditions  

Qualifications

 

  • High performance leader with demonstrated success of continuous improvement and business growth
  • Bachelors' degree in Engineering, Management, Operations or comparable field
  • 5+ years' experience supervising production and employees
  • 5+ years manufacturing experience in metal industry
  • Ability to lead, make decisions for the business
