Chief Financial Officer

Specific Duties & Responsibilities


Lead the finance organization


  • Supporting the business, with the ability to scale with acquisitions
  • Manage the current financial team (2 employees)
  • Help CEO drive growth, profitability, cash flow generation, and equity value creation
  • Oversee the Company’s financial activities, including accurate and timely financial reporting to the board, lenders and internal constituents, planning and analysis, accounting, internal controls, financial policy development, budgeting and modeling, reforecasting, audit, tax, strategic investment, merger & acquisitions, credit, compliance and integration of business systems
  • Oversee construction and development of annual budget and related updates as needed 

Lead the Supply Chain organization


  • Oversee all related supply chain activities
  • Manage the current supply chain team (3 employees)
  • Establish working relationships with all current CMO’s to understand capabilities, costs and workflows
  • Work closely with Director of Supply Chain to evaluate all RFPs
  • Work closely with Director of Supply Chain on price negotiations and cost savings initiatives
  • Insure all current costing is properly integrated into financial budgets and forecasts
  • Work closely with Dir of Supply Chain on new product innovation with existing and new CMO’s
  • Lead negotiations with all new CMO’s
  • Oversee inventory levels to insure budgeted levels are maintained 

Member of Executive Management Team


  • Act as a key thought partner to CEO, the Board, and other members of the executive management team
  • Be heavily involved in the company’s acquisition activities, from sourcing and due diligence through integration execution
  • Communicate, engage and interact with board, CEO, and executive team on ongoing basis.
  • Support the Board


Manage Key Legal Matters


  • Work with legal counsel to manage all trademarks (US, Canada, Puerto Rico and International)
  • Work with CEO and legal counsel to handle all HR employee matters if they arise
  • Maintain working files of all legal documents and contracts




  • Serve as Trustee with CEO on 401(k) plan
  • Establish and maintain new HR manual for employees
  • Oversee Health Care Plan annual bidding with Dir of Finance 



  • Reputation as a strategic, innovative and disciplined financial/business leader
  • Successful CFO/VP of Finance/COO experience working with a private equity portfolio company.
  • Minimum 20 years of business experience, with at least 10 years as a senior financial leader within a medium-sized private or public company.
  • Experience with merger and acquisitions, diligence and integration of add-on acquisitions.
  • Known for attracting, mentoring and retaining financial and operational talent.
  • Reputation for working exceptional well at all levels of organization.
  • Successful sale of a brand or company with the proven ability to present to future investors.
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset.
