Consumer Lending Sales Manager

 

Reports To: Vice President of Lending

 

Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to assist in recommending products and services to our members that will improve their financial life. In addition, to supervise and evaluate the consumer lending call center workflow to achieve desired goals. Successful candidates must have an influential personality with a strong emphasis on sales and results orientation to ensure Loan Sales Representatives maximize lending and sales opportunities with members who apply for credit.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Meets all established sales and service goals.

 

  1. Possess adequate product knowledge as measured by the annual product knowledge certification assessment.
  2. Will supervise application volumes across all channels (in-branch, telephone and internet) to ensure timely follow up.
  3. Must ensure all Loan Sales Representatives are adequately trained.
  4. Must be actively engaged with Loan Sales Representatives in various settings (including on-the-job observations) to adequately recognize and assist with department/employee shortfalls.
  5. Thinks independently and outside the box by effectively responding to the individual needs of the member and/or Loan sales Representative.
  6. Demonstrates an unsurpassed commitment to exceptional member service and teamwork that ensures a great member experience with each encounter.
  7. Is able to clearly and effectively communicate with members and all levels of staff in oral and written form and is proficient with applicable technology.
  8. Is fully knowledgeable of all credit union products and services and is able to confidently offer suggestions to help Loan Sales Representatives in offering appropriate solutions to fit member needs.
  9. Provide employee guidance in following credit union policies and procedures.
  10. Manage and recommend the purchase of department equipment and supplies.
  11. Select applicants for department vacancies.
  12. Give performance reviews when required.
  13. Assist members with credit union questions.
  14. Process phone reports to ensure sufficient phone coverage and satisfactory answering percentages.
  15. Comply with all aspects of BSA/AML and OFAC regulations as they relate to this position.
  16. Other duties as assigned. 

Desired Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. Minimum of two years consumer lending and/or call center experience.
  3. One year experience in a sales environment.
  4. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  5. Above average computer skills.
  6. Good organizational, communication and analytical skills.
  7. Must be self-motivated and able to make decisions.

Physical Job Requirements:

 

Must be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines such as calculator, computer, printer, facsimile, telephone, copier, etc. Must be able to stand, bend and stoop as needed. Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of 20 to 50 pounds.
