Job Description

Senior Product Development Analyst

 

The Senior Product Development Analyst is responsible for assessing market segments and making recommendations for product strategies related to the development of new products and enhancing current products. They collect and analyze statistical, financial, and competitive information on existing and new insurance products to make recommendations for pricing, underwriting and distribution. This position requires a deep knowledge of the insurance market for commercial insurance lines. Success in this position requires collaboration internally within the company and externally with vendors, competitors and agents.

Direction for this position

 

  • Analyze market segments and provide recommendations for product strategies
  • Develop and launch new product lines and enhance existing products that optimize service, profitability and risk management
  • Manage projects to ensure statutory compliance with state laws and regulations
  • Supports systems thinking by working with internal and external partners to gain understanding of how changes impact the business. • Develops and maintains extensive network of contacts that provide insight to market trends

Required Education and Experience

 

  • Minimum of 7 – 15+ years of experience in the commercial lines insurance industry
  • Completed 4-year degree is preferred
  • Insurance certification is preferred (CPCU, CIC, ANS, AIC)
  • Expert proficiency in MS Excel working with large data sets and creating visually appealing summary exhibits
