Parts Inventory Analyst

Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of inventory records for all Parts at the designated Company facility and its leased warehouses. This is achieved through periodic physical inventories, cycle counting, manual counting, and the validation of submitted discrepancy sheets. Also responsible for ensuring that the employees in the Parts Control department are trained, tested and provided resource tools for all specified activities within the Parts Control department.


  • Accurately posts data collected from daily stocktaking activities, which include physical counting, auditing, and reconciliation, into the Company system. Ensures that the data collected is complete and within the timeframe parameters. Creates and maintains spreadsheets to summarize daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports.
  • Checks the Daily Production – Inventory Quantity list to ensure items and quantities match. Reviews discrepancies and makes inventory corrections based on comparing the production list and pallet tags.
  • Corrects negative inventory records and false positive inventory records on a daily basis for Parts. This includes physical counting, making location moves within the company system and entering adjustments as needed. Analyzes errors to identify root causes.
  • Makes inventory adjustments to record rejected or damaged product to ensure that the Company systems reflects only useable product.
  • Inspects Production Labels and Label area to ensure that integrity is maintained.
  • Assumes a leadership role in Parts physical inventories by assisting with the planning, scheduling, training and execution of those inventories.
  • Schedules delivery of import containers and adjusts manpower requirements as needed to accommodate the receipt of deliveries.
  • On a monthly basis counts, records, and enters inventory in system to reflect accurate counts of parts and boxes at machine side and in the Assembly area.
  • Enters receipt of pallet and cardboard quantities into inventory system.
  • Adjusts inventory counts of labels based on data collected during cycle counting performed by Parts Control Clerk.
  • Responsible for Parts Inventory Control needs at designated facility.


  • High school diploma, or equivalent, and 2 years of inventory control experience in a finished goods or parts warehouse environment is required. Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance a plus.
  • Must have a very good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and previous experience with Microsoft Words, Outlook and Access.
  • Must possess very good math skills.
  • Must be detailed oriented, analytical, and work accurately.
  • Good oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to effectively coordinate activities with other departments.
