Job Description

Divisional President

Reporting to the CEO, the VP/GM will have full P&L responsibility for this ~$30MM+ business spanning two current locations and approximately 150 employees.

While this executive will have direct oversight for all commercial, manufacturing, and operational areas of the business, the top priority will be driving successful top and bottom line growth. Critical to this end will be forming a new business from existing BU’s as a strategic growth plan, developing the leadership team to achieve this plan and an integrated organization with a focus on key priorities to achieve business goals established on the roadmap to $150-200MM of revenue by 2024.

The VP/GM will cultivate an environment of high performance and collaboration in the s organization, identify and prioritize market, product and customer opportunities to expand sales growth across all businesses, and provide leadership to the team (commercial, operational, technical, administrative) to ensure success executing on primary goals, operating plans, policies, and financial and operating objectives for the business.

  • Build on the overall strategic plan for the business with goal to significantly grow the size of the business through organic and acquisitive growth within 3-5 years, ensuring buy-in from all stakeholders.
  • Enhance, attract, and develop a leadership team and organization needed to support business objectives.
  • Cultivate and foster a culture of high performance, using performance management methodologies, employee development and rewards and recognition.
  • Execute on the primary goals, operating plans, policies, and financial and operating objectives for the business.
  • Enact and build upon established programs to successfully and profitably grow both top-line and EBITDA by capturing new/increased business across target segments.
  • Prioritize and expand market and customer opportunities to effectively build market momentum and increase penetration.
  • Drive product management and development capability to meet existing and untapped customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Lead sales and business development activities, with existing and new customers.
  • Monitor operating and financial performance and ensuring accountability for meeting performance goals.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership and ownership regarding business performance and activities to ensure they are well informed of the relevant issues.
  • Expand and refine acquisition strategy in partnership with CEO and contribute in leadership role to acquisition due diligence, closure, and integration activities across all functions.
  • Ensure compliance with all accounting, safety, quality, and environmental
  • Maintain awareness of general economic conditions, industry and competitive dynamics and determine the potential impact on revenue and profitability for the company.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  •  Experience running a fully functional P&L including responsibility for operations, technical/R&D, finance, and sales & marketing.
  • Ideally the successful candidate will have had experience in a large interconnect company and well as in a smaller, rapidly growing enterprise.
  • Strong commercial skills including experience leading successful growth is required. Proven ability to instill discipline around the selling process and in elevating sales team performance, including using eCommerce and digital tools to drive growth
  • Experience in selling a technologically differentiated product line into high reliability OEM customer applications is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability in attracting, developing, and leading high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated track record with consistently having a measurable, positive impact on all facets of the business: profitability, revenue and growth.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills; must have a track record of building strong relationships with key constituencies.
  • Experience in an entrepreneurial, private equity-backed or levered environment is a plus.

EDUCATION:

A bachelor’s degree is required, and an MBA is a plus.
