Regional Vice President Finance
Primary Job Responsibilities

The Regional VP Finance primary responsibilities will be as follows:

  • To facilitate a timely month-end close for the New York Region and ensure results are thoroughly reviewed at each stage of the close (Revenue, GP, Bank EBITDA)
  • Must “own” and be able to clearly articulate results and trends to key stakeholders on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, as applicable
  • Take leadership role in the annual budget process with respect to the New York Region while partnering with the market COO’s and Corporate Finance team. Be the thought leader with respect to key assumptions, particularly around revenue by customer, labor cost by location, and fleet CAPEX, along with other variables that should be incorporated into the budget
  • As needed, prepare forecasts, including 13-week cash flow forecasts, for the Region during the year which incorporate new business or other changes that may impact the go-forward view of the business
  • Provide information as needed to the Corporate Finance team for the monthly Op’s deck as it pertains to the Region
  • Timely respond to ad-hoc market leaders, the Corporate Finance staff, or the CEO
  • Support Corporate Development team to develop and/or review cost/pricing models to respond to transportation bids
  • Assist with financial diligence, as well as integration efforts around Finance and Accounting
  • Provide support where necessary on all system integrations
  • Support FP&A team on gathering of and trending around KPI’s for all service lines
  • Support as needed the Market COO with insurance renewals, facility leases, special projects or general business data needs

Important qualities needed for this role

  • Previous experience in a similar role with a company of scale
  • Experience in org with >$40m EBITDA
  • Big 4 accounting background
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Solid accounting background
  • High level of maturity
  • Clear and concise communicator
  • Can effectively mentor and develop team members
  • Can effectively operate in a Player/Coach role

Nice to have skills:

  • PE background
  • Transportation experience / service industry / distributed workforce etc.
  • FP&A experience
  • Treasury/cash management
