Job Description

VP of Marketing

We are working with a private equity backed group just north of Charlotte that has recently acquired a new business unit and is need of a VP of Marketing to help take their organization to the next level

Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategy on all marketing efforts for the company.
  • Create and manage e-commerce presence.
  • Develop, execute and manage digital marketing programs including promotions, creative, web, landing pages and social media.
  • Provide analysis and insight to manage the success of marketing programs and improve efficiency.
  • Drive a pervasive organic search culture throughout the company. Increase natural search traffic via site optimization, partnerships and high-quality content development.
  • Evaluate and track key metrics and success criteria that drive strategic intent for all marketing, advertising, and video content across all activations.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies to develop strong partnerships while maximizing efficient use of resources.
  • Work with VP of Sales and the rest of the executive team to determine and then achieve revenue and margin goals
  • Work with design and development personnel to manage new product introductions and coordinate launch campaigns.
  • Manage the design of print catalog.
    Research and evaluate new product positioning opportunities, assess and quantify demand for potential products based on customer needs and insights.
  • Manage an operating budget for marketing functions and leverage all available resources to control and maximize value.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressively more responsible positions in transactional B2C/B2B e-commerce (preferably DIY type products).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Strong analytical skills including demonstrated ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations. Proven ability to think both strategically and tactically.
  • Experience conducting and managing market and customer analysis, CRM.
  • Experience with SEO and building high quality relevant content.
  • Strong experience and expertise in managing a large network of large and micro scale influencers to drive brand exposure and brand storytelling
  • Superior analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to translate into an executable strategic plan.
  • Experience with Google Analytics and other e-commerce measurement tools.
  • Experience in A/B and/or multivariate testing.
