Regional Vice President of Sales

Summary:

The Vice President of Sales is responsible for the direction and management of all sales and business development operations within a division. This position includes the responsibility for business development. The VP Sales will drive the company’s achievement of its customer acquisition and revenue goals by developing and implementing strategic sales initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the hiring and development of the sales organization, appropriate for the company’s current and future growth strategies.
  • Drives the development of strategic sales and business development plans.
  • Participates in the budgeting/forecasting process. Accountable for top line revenue and COGS.
  • Set appropriate metrics for sales management.
  • Maintain key customer relationships; develop and implement strategies for expanding the company’s referral base.
  • Collaborates with Regional Vice Presidents and Directors of Sales Operations to ensure above strategies are implemented and successful.
  • Participate in preferred product selections and other initiatives to lower COGS and increase profitability.
  • Establish compensation, training, and sales incentive programs.
  • Motivate sales team to sell - assists sales team in preparation of proposals and presentations.
  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Models behaviors to drive the Company’s culture throughout the organization.
  • Prioritizes and plans work activities; Uses time efficiently.
  • Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions. Demonstrates group presentation skills; Participates in meetings.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, healthcare professionals and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Word processing, Contact Management, and Internet software.
