Director of Marketing

As a senior-level marketing professional, this role must be both analytical and creative, and possess extensive knowledge in a variety of disciplines such as production, information technology, legal, regulatory, and finance. The Director of Marketing will plan, direct, and coordinate marketing budgets in accordance with organizational goals. This leader will also be responsible for the management and supervision of individual marketing team members' efforts in the execution and delivery of marketing objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Set and achieve strategic goals related to social media metrics, television advertising and marketing campaign initiatives
  • Design, create, and improve upon marketing campaigns for each product group. Negotiate compensation and project details for outside contractors related to marketing and promotions
  • Create and propagate an enthusiastic brand message that will resonate with our target demographic
  • Report to Executive Management on revenue results, social media strategies, and other components of the marketing program
  • Display flexibility in the execution of marketing strategies
  • Possess a deep understanding of changing market dynamics
  • Streamline marketing process to realize cost savings across the department
  • Analyse current marketing strategies and implementing changes
  • Maximize opportunities for online revenue generation through multiple channels
  • Assess new marketing opportunities for generating business
  • Stay current on industry and technological changes that impact the business
  • Contribute to the overall growth of the bottom line
  • Manage the budget for the marketing department
  • Develop and present the annual marketing strategy
  • Analyze the effect of the overall company strategies on marketing initiatives to align goals and visions
  • Perform other assigned duties as may be required in meeting company objectives
  • Communicate effectively with other departments within the organization and function within a team environment

Requirements:

  • Experience with products in a competitive consumables category
  • Marketing of a comprehensive product portfolio at varying stages of its life cycle
  • Development of marketing strategies for branded and private label products
  • Lead the transition of a product or category of products coming off patent or other IP expiration
  • Experience working with in-house creative teams and outside agencies to maximize investment
  • Oversight of marketing strategies for products sold across multiple retail channels and e-commerce platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team
  • Thorough knowledge of marketing principles, brand, product and service management
  • Strong leadership and project development skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Problem solving skills and strategic planning
  • Must have high level of digital marketing
  • Strong domestic and international experience
  • Superb analytical skills
  • Must be analytical and creative
  • MBA or other relevant graduate degree required
  • 7+ years' experience in marketing and/or advertising in a managerial role
