Position Summary
The Vice President of Service Operations will lead all aspects of service delivery across a large, multi-location territory in the Northeast. This executive will manage a team of approximately 125 employees, including 12 Directors, and will play a key role in developing and executing strategies to drive operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. This is a highly visible leadership role, reporting directly to the Executive Vice President.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop a high-performing service organization spanning multiple branch locations, ensuring operational excellence and consistent service delivery.

Set and surpass key performance metrics related to service quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Develop functional strategies and effectively allocate resources to meet operational and financial targets.

Analyze performance metrics, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to optimize service outcomes and achieve excellence.

Standardize service and repair processes across the region to improve consistency, reduce variability, and enhance operational efficiency.

Collaborate with sales, operations, and support teams to align business objectives and drive regional growth.

Cultivate a positive, customer-first culture that prioritizes compliance, accountability, and high performance across all teams.

Lead change management efforts, ensuring continuous improvement initiatives are successfully implemented and sustained.

Stay current with healthcare and industry trends that impact service delivery, funding, and compliance.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, healthcare, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

At least 7 years of operational leadership experience in multi-location environments, including 5+ years within healthcare or durable medical equipment (DME) services.

Proven track record of successfully leading large teams, driving service metrics, and managing financial performance.

Experience in strategic planning and execution in a matrixed, fast-paced organization.

Willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.

Experience coaching and developing leaders, with a focus on organizational growth and team performance.

Background in the DME industry and familiarity with healthcare accreditation processes and compliance standards.

Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to work effectively at all organizational levels.

Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Proficiency with MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
