Accounting Manager

This position sits in an extremely fast growing, highly acquisitive, multi-site private equity backed healthcare organization. The primary responsibilities are to record accurate and timely financial transactions and provide responsive service to clients and internal employees for their largest care center.

Job Duties:

Record transactions in QuickBooks, including payroll and accounts payable transactions, and conduct monthly reviews to ensure accurate posting.
Perform reconciliations of monthly bank statements and balance sheet accounts.
Prepare allocations for month-end bank statements and balance sheet accounts.
Compile allocations for month-end financial reports.
Engage with clients to address accounting inquiries, prioritizing exceptional customer service.
Review the accuracy of subordinate work.
Undertake ad hoc analysis and fulfill other assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is mandatory.
Preferably five years or more of Accounting experience, especially within the healthcare sector.
At least two years of managerial experience is required.
Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft Word is essential.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and logically, both verbally and in writing.
Capable of thriving in a fast-paced office environment.
Committed to delivering excellent, client-centered service.
Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
Familiarity with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and Macros is advantageous.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Job Responsibilities

Accounting Manager

Function

Posting transactions to QuickBooks (i.e. payroll transactions, A/P transactions, etc.) and reviewing the monthly activity to ensure proper posting
Reconciliation of monthly bank statements and balance sheet accounts
Prepare allocation for month-end bank statements and balance sheet accounts
Prepare allocations for month-end financials
Interacting with clients to resolve accounting issues while ensuring the highest level of customer service
Reviewing work of subordinates for accuracy
Prepare ad hoc analysis and other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
At least five years of Accounting experience in the healthcare field preferred
Two year management experience required
Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel and Microsoft Word
Experience communicating logically and clearly both orally and in writing
Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced office environment
Ability to provide excellent, client-focused service
Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
Experience working with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP and Macros preferred
Well organized, detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
