General Accountant, 100% remote
We are partnering with a mid-market PE backed manufacturing organization looking to add an Accountant to the team.
As Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting our corporate team by overseeing accounting practices, maintaining accounting records and preparing financial reports. Your responsibilities will encompass general accounting, cost accounting and budgetary controls. You will appraise operating results in terms of costs, budgets, policies of operations, trends, and increased profit opportunities.
Geography: Position will be able to work 100% remote.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of weekly reports and the management of revenue recognition processes for our engineered locations.
- Preparation, comprehension, and evaluation of the financial statements, with a primary focus on ensuring adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Oversee month end close
- Analyze monthly project accounting metrics to explain the status of project financial position, including profitability and margin
- Assisting with annual audit preparation
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general accounts.
Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting
- Ideal candidate will have experience at a manufacturing environment
- Percentage of completion project accounting is desired.
- 2-5 years of experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools.
- Ability to be detailed-oriented and perform in-depth Technical/Professional research
- Team player and ability to motivate the team members.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
