Mechanical Designer- San Antonio, Texas

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• • Develop HVAC and plumbing layouts, providing expertise in design and specification adaptation and modification for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) equipment and systems.

  • Execute design, drawings, and specifications to support the enhancement and customization of MEP systems, backed by comprehensive calculations to validate system designs.

  • Strategize, schedule, and oversee detailed phases of assigned project work, ensuring meticulous planning and seamless execution.

  • Conduct site visits during construction phases, compiling meeting minutes and site observation reports to facilitate effective project management.

  • Perform Construction Administration (CA) tasks, including reviewing submittals/shop drawings, responding to Requests for Information (RFIs), and participating in CA meetings.

  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned, contributing flexibly to project needs.

  Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Demonstrated track record of successfully completing projects, with strong project planning and delivery experience, including a solid understanding of Project Management principles.

  • MEP experience is a prerequisite.

  • Strong attention to detail coupled with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Team-oriented mindset, characterized by adaptability, hands-on approach, and client-centric focus.

  • Superior time management and critical thinking abilities, capable of thriving under pressure and meeting stringent deadlines with a heightened sense of urgency.

  Technology/Computer Experience:

  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software.

  • Proficiency in Trane Trace 700 and working knowledge of energy modeling.

  • Proficiency in Bluebeam and MS Office Suite, encompassing Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  Education:

  • Associate Degree preferred, with additional LEED AP BD+C certification desirable.

  Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Mechanical design within an architectural or MEP firm.

  • Proficient interpersonal skills and experience in fostering successful client relationships.

  Schedule:

  • Monday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM

  • Tuesday to Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM

  • Friday: 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM

  Work Authorization:

  • Eligible to work in the United States.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Must have MEP experience

TECHNOLOGY/COMPUTER EXPERIENCE:
