Mechanical Drafter

Qualifications:

Associates degree or certification in Mechanical Drafting is a prerequisite.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in the field.
Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software, with preference given to Solidworks proficiency.
Strong comprehension of mechanical components, structural steels, manufacturing procedures, and industrial construction methods.
Prior experience in industrial construction/project management, millwrights, and material handling equipment is desirable.
Ability to interpret and work from schematics, blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions.
Experience with mechanical conveying systems is considered advantageous.

The Mechanical Drafter will be responsible for meticulously preparing detailed working drawings of machinery and mechanical devices, ensuring accuracy in dimensions, fastening methods, and other pertinent engineering details. While collaboration with team members is important, the ideal candidate should also demonstrate the ability to work independently on projects.

Tasks/Responsibilities:

Generate, review, and refine engineering drawings, program files, and associated documents.
Coordinate necessary details with engineering counterparts to ensure precision.
Develop comprehensive drawing packages tailored for customer use.
Maintain a proficient understanding of company design standards and operational processes.
Assess Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and establish new standards and procedures as necessary.

The Mechanical Drafter will prepare detailed working drawings of machinery and mechanical devices, including dimensions, fastening methods, and other engineering information. The ideal candidate will be able to work well with others, but focus on projects individually as well.

Tasks/Responsibilities:

Creates, checks, and revises engineering drawings, program files, and documents
Coordinates required details with engineers
Creates drawing packages for customer use
Maintain working knowledge of company design standards and processes
Evaluate Engineering Change Request’s (ECR), implement Engineering Change Order ‘s (ECO), create new standards & processes as required
Must meet project schedules/timelines
