Human Resources – EHS Manager
This position is a member of the plant leadership team reporting directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for all aspects of the Human Resources department to include recruiting, labor relations, and training
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise hazardous waste removal vendors to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
- Ensure strict adherence to all EPA regulations regarding Hazardous Waste disposal/storage and Title V Air Pollution Control requirements.
- Prioritize the maintenance and enhancement of the Safety Program, including managing Workers’ Compensation matters.
- Collaborate with various departments to conduct training sessions on handling hazardous materials and emergency response protocols.
- Continuously monitor environmental compliance and act as a liaison with regulatory agencies.
- Immediately notify the leadership team of any environmental health and safety hazards.
- Perform safety audits, thoroughly investigate accidents, and develop preventive measures.
- Develop comprehensive safety programs to promote a safer work environment.
- Provide training to employees on safety protocols and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Manage the hiring and recruitment processes, including drafting job descriptions and designing roles.
- Plan and coordinate schedules, oversee onboarding, and conduct training procedures.
- Document and update workplace policies and regulations.
- Supervise performance management and contribute to fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Effectively address and resolve grievances.
Additional Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have a solid background (minimum of 5 years) in both Human Resources and Safety programs. A degree in Human Resources or a related field is required, with preference given to candidates with a Master’s Degree.
