To help us continue growing, we’re seeking an experienced Production Manager to join and build a highly skilled team. The ideal candidate will have senior management experience in a dynamic setting. The role requires outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership skills and an ability to develop innovative solutions that push boundaries. The Production Manager will work closely with executives to strategize and develop long-term plans that usher in new levels of productivity and success for the company.
Role and Responsibilities:

Lead and drive enhancements across all facets of manufacturing and shipping operations within the plant, focusing on Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Morale.

Align with site leadership’s strategic vision, which outlines a multi-year trajectory towards operational excellence, integrating cutting-edge market technologies to reduce manufacturing costs, enhance throughput and quality, and elevate employee safety.

Develop, deploy, and oversee day-to-day operational frameworks and procedures, ensuring transparency regarding key initiative goals, progress, and challenges.

Collaborate closely with Human Resources to foster a culture of integrity, trust, inclusivity, and productivity, guiding the team towards optimal performance.

Provide mentorship, training, and leadership to supervisors, emphasizing manufacturing optimization and driving consistent year-over-year enhancements across all key performance metrics.

Oversee the supervision, training, and growth of supervisors and employees, holding accountability for the growth and profitability of assigned functions as per the business plan.

Institute systems for cost control, operational efficiency, and enhanced production flow, continually exploring and introducing manufacturing methods, processes, and technologies.

Cultivate a “zero defects” quality ethos, empowering operators to understand their role in producing high-quality products, ensuring prompt defect identification and resolution, and implementing preventive measures against recurring issues.

Manage finished goods inventory, shipping, and traffic processes, ensuring systematic storage, accurate picking, and timely shipment coordination in line with customer requirements.

Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performance hourly workforce in collaboration with HR, ensuring compliance with regulations and facilitating ongoing training and development initiatives.

Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards to evaluate the company’s efficiency and effectiveness, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.

7-10 years of industry experience, with a minimum of 4 years in previous production leadership roles.

Extensive experience and implementation of lean methodologies.

Sewing experience preferred, though not mandatory.

In-depth understanding of operations and manufacturing industry practices.

Strong results-driven mindset with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

The Production Manager will work closely with executives to strategize and develop long-term plans that usher in new levels of productivity and success for the company.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead improvements in all areas of manufacturing and shipping at the plant including Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Morale.
- Support and enable site leaderships mission and strategy which provides a multi-year roadmap of operational excellence, incorporating the latest market technologies to reduce manufacturing costs, improve throughput and quality, while improving employee safety.
- Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives
- Work closely with Human Resources to lead the team with integrity and to establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment.
- Provide coaching, development, and leadership of supervisors focused on manufacturing optimization, delivering consistent year over year improvements to all key metrics.
- Responsible for the supervision, training and development of supervisors and employees with accountability for the growth and profitable operation of the assigned functions from the business plan.
- Develop systems for cost control, operational efficiency and increased production flow. Researches and introduces manufacturing methods, processes and technology to the operation.
- Maintain a “zero defects” quality culture where operators understand their responsibility to produce a quality product; ensure operators stop and fix defects when identified; implement root cause solutions to prevent recurring defects.
- Finished good inventory shipping and traffic in the systematic storing of finished goods, picking, handling process of shipping product to customers per packing slips in a timely manner, coordinating shipping traffic of those products to the customer in an efficient and timely manner.
- Build, attract, hire and develop a high performance work team of hourly employees through strong partnership with HR and in compliance with regulations that improves employee retention and facilities training and development of employees.
- Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the company’s efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with MBA preferred.
- 7-10 years total industry experience, with a minimum of 4 in a previous production leadership roles.
- In Depth experience and deployment of lean methodologies
- Sewing experience preferred, but not required
- In-depth knowledge of the operations & manufacturing industry.
- Strong results-orientation and execution characteristics.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to work with a team.
- Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions, and solve problems independently.
