Job Purpose:
To spearhead Sourcing activities focused on new product development and legacy product re-sourcing by collaborating with project managers, design/development engineers and quality engineers where you’ll be required to identify, evaluate, and select suppliers capable of delivering technical products and services to the Company while meeting quality and cost objectives. Regularly communicate project status to Company stakeholders and management.
We’re seeking a talented individual to join our team in the exciting role of Supplier Relationship Manager. In this dynamic position, you’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing our supply chain efficiency and ensuring the quality and cost-effectiveness of our products. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks aimed at identifying, nurturing, and optimizing relationships with key suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and onboard new suppliers who can contribute valuable technical expertise and enhance the value proposition of our products.
- Craft and execute procurement strategies that align with our organizational objectives, emphasizing cost savings and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, design engineers, and quality engineers to understand product design needs and identify suitable suppliers.
- Lead the selection, development, and monitoring of suppliers, ensuring alignment with our quality and performance standards.
- Conduct comprehensive research and RFQ processes to evaluate supplier capabilities, negotiate pricing, and establish favorable terms.
- Establish Supplier Agreements and Terms & Conditions, fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Facilitate supplier engagement activities, including site visits and performance meetings, to enhance collaboration and communication.
- Ensure early supplier involvement in product design to optimize outcomes.
- Conduct competitive bidding and comparative analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain project tracking spreadsheets and provide regular progress updates to management.
- Manage project timelines and issue purchase orders to meet delivery requirements.
- Host supplier meetings and communicate action items effectively.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical and logistical challenges.
- Provide technical support to team members on supplier-related issues.
- Contribute to the development of metrics, reports, and improvement projects focused on supplier quality and productivity.
- Adhere to Quality System and relevant standards, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commodity/category management or procurement engineering.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of NPD processes and product commercialization.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry experience in purchasing and quality management systems.
- Familiarity with setting parameters in ERP systems.
